ACRES 18th Charity Gala 2019

We celebrated our 18th birthday last Friday on 24th May at One Farrer Hotel and we had a blast with everyone!

You came, saw, ate, drank, bidded, laughed, then ate and drank some more, donated, laughed even more- and together, we conquer the fight to end animal cruelty. You helped us louden the voice for animals, and you helped us raise more than $130,000 that evening. Please know that every dollar raised will go toward our work to end the illegal wildlife trade in Singapore, our advocacy work, humane education programmes, and our 24-hour wildlife rescue and rehabilitation efforts.

As we forge on to create a caring and socially responsible society where animals are treated as sentient beings, our ambition remains unwavering to drive forward a collaborative and sustainable animal protection movement in Asia. It is only through a community of individuals, academic establishments and organisations, government agencies and corporations to create a world where animals are treated with compassion and respect.

ACRES (Animal Concerns Research & Education Society) is a pioneering Singapore-based charity and Institution of Public Character, founded by Singaporeans in 2001 with the aim of promoting animal welfare.

ACRES has six focus areas: Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, Wildlife Crime Investigation, Zoo Animal Welfare, Humane Education, Community Outreach and Promoting Cruelty-Free Living.
