I didn’t think I would get a second chance; will you help me?

My name is Knight and my story is simply heart-breaking. I was found wedged in a narrow gap between the walls of two unoccupied houses in a very remote area. The people who found me reckoned I had been there for days. I cried and yelped out for help and locals from a nearby village reported trying to track down the source of distant barking. I had been wailing for at least 4 days before they found me.

No one is sure how I became trapped. It’s possible that fireworks at a recent major festival in the area may have spooked me and caused me to seek refuge in that tiny dark space between two abandoned houses. The local people who found me worked tirelessly to get me out. Only when they managed to free me did they see how bad my injuries were. I was immediately raced to the nearest veterinary clinic for emergency treatment and then transferred to the Soi Dog shelter.

My frail body was absolutely covered in horrific wounds from where I had repeatedly tried to drag myself out of that space without success. I was severely dehydrated and so weak I couldn’t stand up. Thankfully, the Soi Dog vet team gave me the medical treatment along with nourishing meals to build up my strength and a safe place to rest while my wounds healed. As you can imagine it has taken time for me to recover not just physically but mentally from this ordeal. I still struggle to overcome some of my fears but each day, I gain a bit more confidence. My nightmare is over and I now dream of a place called home.

Please consider giving me a safe place to live: https://www.soidog.org/adopt/knight-1915?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=Multiple%20Images&utm_campaign=Knight
