If wish to reduce the population of strays, the only way is to STERILIZE them and STOP them from breeding. The theory is actually as simple as ABC, but it’s just that many people are not willing to understand and accept it.

除了忙打理收容所3000多条的生命，每一天其实我们都在四处跑，帮爱爸、爱妈们一起结扎浪浪，因为结扎才是最重要！

In addition to managing the caring for 3,000+ furkids inside our shelter, everyday we insist to work with independent rescuers and residents to sterilize stray furkids because it’s the ONLY solution.

但救援者这头结扎，执法单位那头捕杀，给的理由永远都是 …. 『不行，结扎、原放后街上还是会有狗』，应该做的不是教育大家和它们共处同个空间吗，方向真的都错了

But the saddest thing is that sometimes the neutered strays get culled by the enforcement unit, and they always say “Neuter and release doesn’t work as the street will still exist of stray dogs”. The direction is completely wrong, instead we should educate the public to live peacefully with them isn’t it.

Homeless & Orphan Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.) is a non-profit organization and no-kill shelter that aims to improve welfare of strays and abandoned pets around Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Our four core missions are rescuing, re-homing, sterilization and increasing public awareness of pet ownership and responsibilities. Currently, we are caring for approximately 700 abandoned animals in our shelter located at Lima Kedai.
