OUR SINGAPORE SPECIALS: MACHO (UP FOR ADOPTION)

The SPCA wishes you a Happy National Day with Macho! 🇸🇬 For many Singapore Specials, our streets are the only homes they know. By featuring their training adventures this week, we hope to show that local breed dogs are just as capable of being well-trained, loving companions like their pedigree friends. They have their unique quirks too!

Macho is a little timid despite what his name suggests and is learning to face new objects with courage. To be able to transport him in a low-stress manner, our volunteer dog mentors started crate training last year. They rewarded his bravery whenever he chose to enter the crate and now he loves training sessions. To advance to the next step, we must ensure Macho is fully relaxed or we risk derailing the entire process.

Macho has been looking for a home since 2018! When he gets to know you, he will show you his playful and endearing side. He loves fresh air and enrichment toys. He is four years young and will do well with a loving family who has the time and energy to meet his needs. If you are keen to adopt him, please email enquiries@spca.org.sg.
