National Cat Welfare Survey Review. Cat Welfare Ha..

NATIONAL CAT WELFARE SURVEY & REVIEW

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Cat welfare has come a long way in Singapore with significant improvements over the past decade. Many individuals and groups have contributed to this positive development.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Thank you for being with us on this journey and for your efforts to raise the standards of cat welfare.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

There is, however, still much to be done.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Cat Welfare Society (CWS) and SPCA Singapore are conducting a comprehensive review of all laws, regulations, policies, and cat-related issues in Singapore. At the end of this review, CWS and SPCA intend to produce a national cat welfare strategy and implementation plan, which will further improve how cats are managed and cared for.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Besides using the plan to shape the work of our organisations, we will be sharing the results with relevant government authorities and will work with them to raise standards of cat welfare in Singapore.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We know many of you have been or are actively involved in cat welfare and that you have a wealth of experience and knowledge. We want to hear from you!

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

From 14 September till 11 October 2020, we will be running a public survey. Link here: http://bit.ly/catsurvey2020

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

As one community, we can have a significant positive impact on cat welfare, animal welfare in general, and the wider Singapore society.
