Wwf-Malaysia Has Carried Out Several Phases Of Cam..

The WWF-Malaysia’s team has carried out several phases of camera trapping studies to understand the current mammals biodiversity in Fraser’s Hill. Among interesting mammals spotted are this chubby tapir who’s not camera shy and this beautiful leopard cat.

Did you know, based on the IUCN Red List, Fraser’s Hill is home to three globally Endangered mammals i.e. the Malayan Tapir (𝑇𝑎𝑝𝑖𝑟𝑢𝑠 𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑐𝑢𝑠), Siamang (𝑆𝑦𝑚𝑝ℎ𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑢𝑠 𝑠𝑦𝑛𝑑𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑦𝑙𝑢𝑠) and two mammal species listed as Vulnerable i.e. the Serow (𝐶𝑎𝑝𝑟𝑖𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑛𝑖𝑠 𝑠𝑢𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑒𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑠) and the Malayan Sun Bear (𝐻𝑒𝑙𝑎𝑟𝑐𝑡𝑜𝑠 𝑚𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑦𝑎𝑛𝑢𝑠).
