Thank You Louis. Louis Ng, Our Founder And Chief E..

THANK YOU LOUIS!

Louis Ng, our founder and chief executive has stepped down after 20 years of speaking up for the animals after founding ACRES, as a pioneering organisation in the animal welfare movement in Singapore.

On behalf of ACRES team of staff, volunteers and supporters, we’d like to thank Louis for being an inspiration, mentor and a leader in many ways through campaigns and being a voice for the voiceless. One thing we will surely not miss are your office pranks Louis Louis Ng Kok Kwang!

Kalai and Anbu, who will now take over as co- CEOs joined ACRES as volunteers in 2010 and 2006 respectively, then joined as full-time animal caregivers, and took up more responsibilities over time.

They took up projects, worked closely on several issues and through experience, started managing animal care and wildlife rescue departments. Both of them have more than a decade of experience in handling wildlife and animal protection issues in Singapore.

Many projects at ACRES whether it is establishing a sanctuary or repatriating several victims of the illegal wildlife trade were made a reality with their combined strengths, along with a team of dedicated staff, ex-staff and volunteers.

Kalai and Anbu are confident that ACRES will continue to push for progress in many ways.

“This year forward, we will improve our capabilities at our facility to help more wildlife in need, push for more tolerance and awareness on our native wildlife, will initiate projects on improving the welfare of animals in the industry. It is going to be a challenging path, and we are willing to take this because animals matter in our society and we would like to humbly seek continued support for this important cause”.
