During MCO I came across a young mama cat and her 3 newly born kittens. After fostering them for almost 3 weeks I needed help as I could not cope and that's when I met two wonderful individuals Sofie and Anis who has been rescuing cats/kittens for as long as they can remember. They kindly agreed to help foster the young mama and her 3 kittens. Little did I know they have around 50 cats/kittens under their care, many of which were abandoned/rescued during MCO. I have since been helping them out whenever I can around twice a week, basically general clean up, fostering sick kittens, asking friends to help out with food, litter etc. While that is on-going, am now moving to the much needed next phase i.e. to assist them to get the rescued ones adopted. Much needed because the monthly cost of their basic necessities have increased and more importantly these cats are currently squatters (haha) in a space which the owners have been so gracious to let them use but will need to vacate by the end of the year.
Do browse through my listings as I will be adding to them until I get all of them onto here. My friend Yiran and sister Celine has been patiently instrumental in taking their photographs (anyone who has tried taking cat photos will know how challenging this can be :) )
You will notice that many of the cats/kittens were rescued from PJ Old Town market/ taman selera (they are just next to each other). This is because it is allegedly one of the hot spots for pet dumping. Then when feeders like Sofie attempt to TNR (trap, neuter and release), complaints from stall operators and nearby residents will lead to MPPJ to capture them. And that is how Sofie and Anis ended up with over 50 cats/kittens.
So please browse through our listings with open hearts and may you find your forever furbaby/furbabies here:)
note: Sofie and Anis are independent feeders/rescuers with intent to rehome.
