Angel has had a really tough life. She was found almost dead in a parking lot, lying in a pool of her own blood. There were tiny dead kittens strewn about - she'd clearly just bad a really bad delivery of stillborn kittens.
She was immediately rushed to the vet and hospitalized for pneumonia, flu, multiple septic wounds. She only weighed 1.7 kg but miraculously she started recovering. And about 2 weeks into her recovery, she received another devastating diagnosis - wet form of FIP. Feline infectious periotonitis is a fatal disease caused by a mutation of the common and usually benign corona virus. But we couldn't give up on her and decided to try a miracle trial drug for FIP, and as if a miracle, it started working. She's now almost done with her 84 day injection period, and will be moving on to her 84 days observation period. If no other flare ups during this time, she's considered cured!
The drugs had an immediate effect on Angel and she started gaining her appetite back and gaining weight too. Now she weighs 2.7 kg, and so incredibly healthy, happy and sassy! She absolutely loves to be doted on, and already displays indoor cat queen behaviors like wanting to lie on clean laundry and protesting if you don't pet her when she wants you to. She's a gorgeous, lovely cat for any first-time cat parent or experienced cat family.
Angel has not been vaccinated or spayed yet, to minimize any stressors on her body. But we will get both done before she is adopted. If you'd like to foster her during her 84 day observation period, then adopt once she passes the trial period, we can work that out too! She came back from death's door on two separate occasions and now deserves the luxury indoor life for the rest of her life! Angel is negative for FIV and FeLV.
