Our teammate first met Mikey in June 2019, when she was helping someone else trap a cat. Mikey decided our teammate was his ticket out, and he actually walked about a 10 minute distance and plopped himself down at my teammate's condo. She eventually managed to TNR (trap-neuter-return) him, and continued to feed him ever since.
Recently he started limping on his left foreleg. X-ray didn’t show anything abnormal though, so it was suspected to be a sprain. He responded well to anti-inflammatories, daily physio and warm compress and he’s no longer limping. Our vet recommends at least a month of rest and continued physio, which is very simple to do at home. Otherwise, he's defleaed, dewormed, fully vaccinated, neutered, and also tested negative for both FIV/FeLV.
Mikey is a BIG boy, at 5.45 kg of glorious floof. Sometimes he can get a bit overstimulated and take a swipe (without claws), but someone who can read his body language would be best. But to people he trusts, he's very chatty and also loves to be held like a baby!
The ideal home for Mikey would be where he can be a solo boy, or other cats are okay too, as long as the integration can happen slowly and properly. It would be important that his new human can be in tune with his body language, but we expect that this would improve once he starts trusting his human.

We do have a short application process. We insist that all cats adopted from us be indoor cats and spayed/neutered when old enough. If you would like to learn more about our work, please check us out on Instagram: @ allergic rescuers kl or on Facebook: Allergic Rescuers KL. Thank you for considering adoption!
