Zippy is the surviving kitten of a litter borne to a very young feral cat. His mom is not great at the job being a teen mom but she works with what she has, despite living amongst some hostile humans.
Zippy used to have a Calico sister with a bad eye but she was very shy and went missing before I could catch her.
Unlike his fierce mama, Zippy grew to be a fan of humans (he especially loves being pat on the head). He's initially wary (can't blame him he's had his share of being on the receiving end of basins of water being emptied). But he is gentle even when frightened and judging by how little affection it takes for him to lower his guard, he is yearning to be loved.
I don't have room to foster him indoors, but I visit him to feed him and play with him. He has started trying (but failing) to spray, so I got him neutered and he will get his first vaccination soon (the adoption fee covers a portion of these costs the rest I am covering).
I have rescued many cats, and there are some who seem plucky enough or just hostile enough for me to be at peace with them being outdoor community cats. Zippy is just not one of them. Please, if you can, make him the happiest cat ever, and me the happiest rescuer ever.
