Cali was found at an established TNR colony with a badly mangled ear. Our teammate picked her up and took her to the vet for an initial check-up and antibiotics. Sadly, after several months of being indoors, multiple vet visits and several rounds of antibiotics, her ear didn't show any sign of healing!
Eventually, one of Cali's vets recommended her ear be removed and sent off for a biopsy. When the results came back, we discovered she actually had been suffering from squamous cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer most commonly seen on the ears, nose, lips and other areas with little or no hair on them. Fortunately for Cali, the cancer remained localized and she has been declared cancer free!
Cali is about 5-7 years old, spayed, fully vaccinated, and both FIV and FeLV negative. She doesn't show any interest in other cats and would be suitable to a home as a solo cat. Since her ear canal is now exposed the will also require regular ear cleaning - something very simple to learn and do!
If you're interested in Cali, please WHATSAPP us on the number provided. We are very responsive on WhatsApp, SMS, e-mail, Facebook and Instagram but we won't be seeing comments left here.
We do have a short application process. We insist that all cats adopted from us be indoor cats and spayed/neutered when old enough.
