Update 17 May 2023
Niki is available again. Adopter decided to return her after mere four days because Niki is behaving still like a puppy. We’ve wasted time, money and resources but we are not giving up. So let’s try again. Please only PM if you are certain you want to, and can handle a puppy’s daily needs.

Look at those adorable floppy ears!
Niki and her sibling came from horrendous conditions. Found on the streets by a resident, and close to being returned to the streets when there were no takers, I was called to take them in. By then, it was too late. Her sibling had died, and Niki was ill-stricken with parvovirus. After nursing her back to health, completed medication and recovered, she was adopted. After two weeks, she was returned to me, the reason given was “she doesn’t look like a beagle”.
Niki is not pure bred, but she is wonderful sweetest dog… a precious life who survived a tough life, and if you choose her, she comes with a lifetime commitment of at least 10 years. Please only enquire if you are serious about adopting. If you can offer a foster home, please get in touch, we can arrange an urgent home check if needed.
SO, LET’S TRY THIS AGAIN.
Niki is a cocker spaniel cross. She has really cute floppy ears. She has white fur undertones under her eyes, making her very unique in markings! She is growing into a fine young girl who is extremely sweet and gentle. She is docile and a beam of sunshine. The family that adopts her will be very lucky to have her as their baby. Let’s talk what Niki needs.
🐶 Niki is still a puppy, she is not potty trained for indoors, and will need time to adapt. If you work or travel too much, or away for more than 4 hours and do not have the time to help her acclimate, she is not the right dog for you. She likes to be with her humans. Having gone through so much surviving the streets and the death of a sibling, it’s clear Niki needs a permanent human who would commit time to build trust and confidence and help her overcome her puppyhood challenges.
🐾 An experienced cocker spaniel breed owner is preferred. Essentially, I believe she will be very specific with her needs for ear care, skin care, in addition to a lot of patience, training, socialization and structure.
🐕🦺 Niki is not neutered as she still too young a puppy. Too early a spay can affect her growth plates, therefore I would require a non-negotiable agreement with potential adopter that spaying is mandatory by or before Niki turns two. If not, she is not the right dog for you.

HOW ADOPTION WORKS — To start the adoption process, send us an email message here with your background details and briefly how you are able to support Niki. We have some specific adoption questions and criteria that you must be prepared to answer. Only shortlisted applicants will be invited to meet Niki. There are many other dogs we are rehoming – so please do not send a message to ask if Niki is available; we will update the post when she has been adopted. She has an entire life to live and many, many good things to experience and I would want her in a permanent good home with a responsible owner. This wonderful sweet dog deserves that.
Thank you for choosing to adopt.
