I currently have 2 westies up for adoption. A male and a female. The previous owner has given them up due to his busy schedule. They are a very loving pair and also a very active and attention seeking. Below are the term and conditions I am setting for their adoption:-

Both of them must stay together and should not be separated as they are very attached to each other.
As they are white and have medium length hair, new owner must be prepared to groom and bath them regularly, preferably hand stripped.
New owner must allow house visits from me to check on their well-being regularly.
Both of them must be indoor dogs.
Owner has to send them for basic obedience training and also house train them as they are not currently house trained.
Prefers owner who is willing to feed raw food if not high quality kibbles.
New owner must bear cost of neutering, vaccination and other medical bills that they have occured during their stay with me.

Interested parties can contact me at . I would appreciate at least an introduction of yourself and would also like to know more on your past experience in handling dogs.

Why are they up for adoption? why don't you want to give them a home?
BabyZee   Dec 24th 2008 at 1:16AM
dear cellofen..
acsyen is only the temporary fosterer of the dogs, means she's taking care of the dogs until they can get a new home..
like a middleman to help the dogs to find a loving home, hope i'm right in explaining this acsyen.. :)
Sometimes there are people not familiar with the term here so we need to explain a-z for them right, to not get any misunderstandings right.. :)
hope mini and troy will a get good loving home and their name really suits them! :D
FurrenzPets   Dec 24th 2008 at 1:24PM
I will give them a home myself if I find no one is suitable to adopt them. Like BabyZee said I am just a temporary fosterer for them. Their owners doesn't want them anymore..

I want to give them a home but im not going to pay the fee is it ok to you? ADOPTION means FREE
If u interested then give me a call Mervyn
FurrenzPets   Feb 25th 2009 at 10:33AM
Oh it's fne with me don't have to pay to me. Before you take the dogs We can go together to the vet and do all the medical procedures that I require you to do and you can pay directly to the vet and let's see how much you are charged for it. Possibly 1k and above. Ok with you? If it's ok then I will interview whether you can deal with the problems that they come along with then only rehome it to you.
jamie76   Feb 26th 2009 at 1:46PM
Dear Mervyn,
Acsyen idea is a wonderful! New owners should be involved from the beginning to know the huge respsonsibility (not to mention the costs) in taking care of a pet. At least you will be involved in all the necessary health checks and medical attention needed to take of them. You would then know what is expected of the new owner to take good care of them till they are in their twilight years. Wonderful idea!

Adoption means free? Well even adopting from SPCA will be charged. If adopting a pet is like buying a car then sorry you have failed in adopting this dogs. Like I mention these 2 dogs had busy owners previously and has no medical records at all. So I will require vaccination, spaying, heartworm test, heartworm prevention and also blood test to be done before the surgery. So go call up a vet clinic and ask how much will these procedures be charged for 2 dogs. I too have seen all kinds of adopter who are not willing to do what is necessary for the dogs. As for me I don't need any chocolates nor any ang pau. As long as the dogs goes to good homes I am happy already..

kudos yen.
mervynyeoh   Feb 27th 2009 at 3:55PM
Just another kid born yesterday.I was only explaining the task and feelings for example to you only but it didnt go into ur head. What i mean is how do u care if you buy yourself a car and how you care for it? Adoption means is like taking care of your own dog. When I adopted dogs i think u were not even born yet(and you too Chelly Chen Xiao Lu)*(Green cow havent known the tiger yet)*.Maybe ur still hanging around some place some where, you get what i mean.Want to teach an crab to walk straight.Just keep the two dogs and give them a home.Stop the subject and be a good adoter for yourself.I feel pity for the dogs.Talking about raising and adoption you dun even have the custom to do so....GOOD LUCK!

if d dog healthy why have to vaccinate?heartworm n blood test? they are almost 3 years old, nearly human 30 years old.is it a "must" have to checkup? adopt means freeeeee....... if u asking for 1 or 2 hundred is reasonable, right?
ManekiNeko   Mar 4th 2009 at 7:38AM
Dear Leng6748, Without regular vaccinations, chances are good that the dogs won't STAY healthy. Are you suggesting that they simply develop immunity magically on their own when they reach 3 years?? Vet bills are a reality of owning pets responsibly, and they can add up fast, especially as the pets get older. I'm sorry to say, but your comment suggests you're unwilling to budget any money for proper care of the animals, just want everything "freeeeee"... Not realistic or humane.
Sashy   Mar 4th 2009 at 8:09AM
Guessing another just got added to the disqualified list :P
Anyway for people who think the fee is expensive, well, you don't have to adopt from this person. It's a free world, you can always buy or adopt off another person.
lynielime   Mar 4th 2009 at 8:46AM
vaccinations must be repeated EVERY YEAR to keep an animal healthy. heartworm tablets such as interceptor or heartguard must be given EVERY MONTH to prevent heartworm infestation. wow some people want to keep dogs but don't know anything about their care. incredible. and now with the internet, its amazing some people are still so badly informed.
