Mett, short for Metta, is a 6 month old pitbull+poodle cross. He has been neglected, and tied up daily under the hot sun and rain ever since birth, however his condition seriously deteriorated in the past 2 months. That is why his fur is now patchy and sparse. However, if you look closely, he actually has very thick, curly fur.

However, his owner doesn't want him anymore, which is why I've sent him to SPCA.

He was initially very shy, and nervous around me, and the other dogs. However, 3 days later, he now runs around trying to make friends with all the dogs in SPCA. He's also much happier to see me though he's still a bit nervous. It's really good to see him jump and wag and play now that he's gained more confidence.

Although I personally would love to bring him home, thats not possible as I already have 2 dogs. Therefore I'm looking for a potential adopter who is comfortable and experienced with dogs, who treat them as beings with character and intelligence. I'd like an adopter to treat each dogs individually according to their personality. Mett is still timid and shy (though he's recovering fast), and needs a lot of love. I would appreciate it if the potential adopter would come to SPCA Melaka to view and play with him for 2 or more visits, to see if you like each other :) He is truly a beautiful little dog, he just needs time to put on more weight and fur.

Preferably an adopter from Malacca so I can look in on him and know he's fine. I've seen him suffer for the past 6 months and I've finally got him out, I'd like him to get the best opportunity to have a decent life.

No caging, or chaining! He's spent his whole puppyhood restricted, let him have his freedom. He eats kibbles, so he's easy to feed :)
His new owner must also be prepared to groom him when his fur grows, as he is part poodle, it will be curly and long. You could clip him and make him look like a sheep!

Please email me if you are interested in Mett, or better still, go to SPCA Melaka on Saturday afternoon-evening, I should be there, and Mett definitely will be :)

Metts found a friend in SPCA :D he and this other young dog were chasing each other around the compound, they looked pretty silly. I did get a bit pissed off when one of them put their paws on my back while I was bathing another dog though. Grr

I must remember to update his pics this weekend. He's gained some weight and much more confidence. He's getting to be very playful and active :)
