This is my mum’s dog, Fifi. 7 years ago, we rescued him from the street outside our house. We learned that his owner let him go as they were moving to a condo. Ever since that day, my mum loved him and cared for him just like her own member of the family.
Now my mum no longer has the ability to keep him as she has been suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. For those who are not familiar with this disease, it is a condition where the joints in your body become painfully stiff and you lose the ability to do simple tasks such as buttoning your shirt or holding a toothbrush or turning the door knob. This has affected my mum very much physically and mentally. With a very heavy heart she asks me to find Fifi a good home to spend the rest of his final years. It is a very hard decision for us.
We hope that you could put judgement aside for us and help to spread the word for Fifi to find a good home. We pray that his future owner must love dogs, have experience with dogs and have vast amounts of patience as Fifi has his own shortcomings. I’m afraid there are a few issues that many people may not understand or accept— such as his fear of thunderstorms (he would go beserk and scratch incessantly at doors, wall, and anything around the house), his crazy moments of peeing on furniture (he does this when something triggers him — such as seeing the neighbours’ dog), and he occasionally snaps too. Despite all this, he is a loving dog at most times.
He has a full vaccination and deworming record and is overall healthy except for the usual old-age symptoms such as blurry eyesight and weak knees (yet he can run so fast!). He enjoys running around the garden and going for his walks whenever my mum’s health condition permits.
Thank you for reading — if you know anyone who is interested to make him family, please contact us. Have a good day.
