Sam showed up at the car park where we feed neutered stray cats one day, completely out of the blue. He was incredibly friendly, head butting, and kept flopping over to ask for belly rubs.
We've since gotten him fully vetted (defleaed, dewormed, vaccinated and neutered) and he is now waiting for his forever home in a foster home. Sam did test positive for FIV, but he has no symptoms like chronic flu or sniffles. FIV is a virus that causes compromised immune system and is only to contagious to other cats through mating and fighting. Since Sam is already neutered and friendly to all, this won't be an issue. FIV cannot pass through shared litter box, food/water bowls, or daily contact such as grooming each other.
Sam is happy as a clam and loves affection. He is clingy and manja, and will appreciate a home where he can get lots of attention and snuggles. He also loves to play. He would do great in a home with another cat for company or even as a solo cat, provided he is getting regular attention.
We do have a short application process. We also insist that all cats adopted from us be indoor cats and spayed/neutered when old enough.
