The Selangor Neutering Subsidy (SENS) programme has granted subsidies for the neutering of 404 animals (344 cats and 60 dogs) since its launch in May 2017. Out of the RM150,000 allocated by the Selangor State Government, RM39,321 has been disbursed.

It’s been a great six months, but as we still have plenty of subsidy funds to grant, we strongly encourage Selangor residents and Selangor-born individuals to continue to make use of this subsidy while it’s still available (especially for neutering dogs!).

Huge thanks once again to the Selangor State Government for this wonderful initiative, and the compassionate individuals who have neutered their pets / stray animals. Special thanks also to myanimalcare.org for allowing the use of their model for these purposes.

PAWS

PAWS was founded in 1987 by a small group of local and expatriate volunteers. Through their generosity and imagination, PAWS was constructed on a patch of land owned by Sime Plantations on the Subang Airport Road. This distinct group of sheds and a courtyard still stands today and currently homes around 400 cats and dogs.

The staff that work at PAWS include one veterinary surgeon and a number of full-time personnel. The organisation depends entirely on the generosity of the public through donations or proceeds from charitable events organized and run by volunteers.
