PUBLIC ADVISORY: UNAUTHORISED FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES

SPCA was recently informed about an individual who went from door-to-door in the Buangkok area, soliciting funds in our name. We can confirm that there was no such activity planned and we have since filed a police report about the matter.

We would like to take this opportunity to share that for approved fundraising activities, a Collector’s Certificate will be issued to the volunteer. Donations are collected in an SPCA donation tin can, which is kept sealed until it is brought back to us.

We appreciate that there are many kind-hearted donors out there who support the SPCA as well as other charities. It is important that your generous donations reach the intended recipients.

IF EVER IN DOUBT ABOUT A FUNDRAISING ACTIVITY:

1. Request to see a fundraising licence or permit from the donation collector.

2. If the collector is unable to produce a licence or permit, please inform the Police immediately.

3. Contact the charity as well (for SPCA, call our hotline at 6287 5355).
