Today (Wednesday, 26th June 2019) we went to SMK Chung Hwa Wei Sin, Kuala Terengganu for an awareness programme. We talked about turtles, terrapins and making ecobricks.

We hope that all 900 students and the teachers are now more aware about our turtles and how we could play a role in helping them survive.

We thank the teachers from SMK Chung Hwa Wei Sin, for helping coordinate the students; Dr. Dahlia Sidique and her students as well as Dr. Chong Ju Lian’s students for joining us by putting up an exhibition on fungus and pangolin, respectively.

Turtle Conservation Society

The Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia was established in October 2011. The aim of the society is to bring about the recovery of depleted wild populations of turtles, with particular reference to freshwater turtles, in Malaysia through partnerships with like-minded organizations, individuals and local communities as well as through its own programs.
