FAREWELL & RIP DEAR ROY .

Last night was long and Roy was restless to get out of the house like all our cats did in their last hours .

His body system was shutting down . He refused food and water for 60 hours . We were frustrated and were told non clinical attempts could and would bring more complications .

We locked up the dogs at the nursing centre and let him roamed free in the garden . He seemed recharged but made every attempts to break loose and even tried to jump into the monsoon drain when out of the house.

Its time and Roy is at peace now .

Roy will not be disappointed. He trained Sam well and his legacy in Animal Welfare Awareness will continue in good faith as he has initiated it.

Roy , Save A Stray Malaysia star educator on the college and event circuit .

He amused many at his last outing with BRIT International Cat Show at Sunway Velocity Mall , Cheras in June 2018. He has retired but he is our Senior Education Officer and was there to show his trainee Sam the rope .

He is turning 14 soon and pees frequently. We were concerned and had his blood profile done suspecting kidney issues .

Diabetic and worst , insulin therapy is very messy and complicated . Prescription diet is our only choice .

Roy was abandoned in an alley in Subang Jaya back in 2005 . He was soaked ,skinny , fleas infested and about 2 months old . We cared , reconditioned and rehabilitated him. And he did his part too and grew into a 4-5 kg weight handsome fella with excellent temperament and a beautiful soft grey coat .

Everyone loves him.

He hasn’t much time and it seem pointless to restrict what he loves to do and eat. We let him have it all.
