From An Empty Wall To A Conservation-Themed Mural ..

From an empty wall to a conservation-themed mural: The Sarawak Conservation Programme teamed up with two local artists and teachers, Kho Thong Soon and Jacinta Chan, to paint its first mural project at a Chinese-medium school, Chung Hua Middle School No.3 in Kuching, from Aug 13 -15. The mural features four species of hornbills. The idea of highlighting these birds in the mural stems from WWF-Malaysia’s aim to create appreciation for the beauty, grace and wonder of these awesome birds in Sarawak. Hornbills are also one of the animal groups targeted in the organisation’s conservation work in the state. A big thank you to the school and all helping hands who made this mural possible.
