If there is one thing you do today on Global Climate Strike Day, it should be to get informed about the situation 💻.

It’s crucial that we initiate the change on the grassroots level and move upwards 🌱⬆️.

No one is too small to make a difference 💪.

Simple steps include:

🌬️ less reliance on Air Con (tough in this haze as we can’t open the windows…

🚌 public transport instead of cars/motorcycles

👫 car-pooling if you are using your car (give your friends/colleagues a lift if you’re headed in the same direction)

💡 switch off the lights when you leave a room!

📴 turn off appliances at the main switch, when not in use. ‘Standby’ more guzzles electricity

🔌 unplug your phone/device charger once battery is restored. Don’t leave it on.

If we do not attempt to reverse the effects of human contributions towards climate change, we could see:

🌊 Rising sea levels impact tens of millions of people & wildlife, especially those living in coastal areas and islands.

🐚 Warmer oceans encourage the growth of algae, resulting in coral bleaching

🏜️ Heat waves becoming more extreme and frequent

🌳 Destruction of wildlife habitats
