In collaboration with Teach For Malaysia, we are delighted to announce the Winner of the 2019 Students Doing Good (SDG) Competition as SMK Bugaya! 🙌

The team came out with a creative solution, and has created an Ecobricks Educational Garden in the school made using waste materials such as used plastic bottles and unused tyres, as well as decorative plants! 🌱🌷🌻 In line with the core values of Roots & Shoots – which is to empower young people with the tools they need to bring about change, students were able to learn the importance of service projects as well as how to execute them in a team to bring positive impact in the areas of environment, animals and/or fellow human beings! 💚

We are proud to have all the participating teams who commit their time towards serving causes that are much bigger than themselves. Through the competition, these students were able to learn how important service projects are as well as how to execute them in a team! 🌟

We also hope that this experience has enlightened them on how important their roles as youths are in impacting their community and environment positively! 🌎
