The Winners Of Our Students Doing Good Competition..

The winners 🏆🏅🥇of our Students Doing Good competition, in collaboration with @teachformsia, enjoyed their first place edutainment trip prize! SMK Bugaya of Semporna, Sabah went to Kota Kinabalu where they were interviewed on Kupi Kupi FM Sabah, explored the Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) campus and visited Muzium Sabah.

SMK Bugaya will use their prize money 💰💰 to buy equipment for the @zerocrimeproject activity rooms. We congratulate SMK Bugaya – You are truly developing the next generation of #CompassionateLeaders!

For the past 5 months, the students tirelessly working on Ecobricks Educational Garden Project, in conjunction Students Doing Good (SDG) Competition organised by Roots & Shoots Malaysia and Teach for Malaysia. We had gone through countless obstacles however it was a meaningful progress as I able to see the students becoming more grown up, responsible & mature.

Fast forward today, we finally got to celebrate the victory! We didn’t expect to get the FIRST PLACE for SDG competition but we know the students have made an all-out effort throughout the execution of the project. As the reward for getting the first place, Roots & Shoots MY sponsored a 4D3N edutainment trip in Kota Kinabalu. In addition, we received RM8,000 cash prize for services or school necessities! The most proudest moment for Teacher @jessicalyfung & I, is..these kids have decided to contribute their cash prize to @zerocrimeproject because they want their cash prize to positively impact all students w/ challenging backgrounds in @smkbugaya for the long run.

On the first day of 4D3N edutainment trip, we had the chance to be interviewed by @rezuhayr from @kupikupifm96.3 ! It’s great to meet & talk to the amazing team in Kupi Kupi FM! Thanks for having us @kupikupifm96.3 @lester85 ❤️❤️ .

Cikgu Jess & I are glad that we applied for this competition as it eventually has helped us to grow our kids, nurtured their growth mindset and inspire them to change for the better. Thanks again to @rootsandshootsmy & @teachformsia for this priceless opportunity! ✨✨
