From the likes of Greta Thunberg to Vic Barrett, the world has been taken by storm by environmental youth activists thirsty to make a difference.

Meet Dennis, Rachel, Sarita, Wei Qiang, and Willis, the environmental studies undergraduates from the National University of Singapore (NUS) who are participating in the Tembusu Vertical Marathon 2020Tembusu Vertical Marathon, in efforts to challenge themselves physically and embrace their roles as budding environmentalists while raising funds for a good cause.

Driven by their passion for Singapore’s wildlife, they have chosen ACRES as their beneficiary for their fundraising efforts.

ACRES (Animal Concerns Research & Education Society) is a pioneering Singapore-based charity and Institution of Public Character, founded by Singaporeans in 2001 with the aim of promoting animal welfare.

ACRES has six focus areas: Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, Wildlife Crime Investigation, Zoo Animal Welfare, Humane Education, Community Outreach and Promoting Cruelty-Free Living.
