Earlier this week, we had a good discussion with En. Johary @officialybr and three ladies from Ameerah Kg. Pasir Gajah regarding a #communityempowerment programme. Ameerah is a women’s group under the new MPKK.

We discussed the vision of establishing a cottage industry in the kampung, and how YBR, Ameerah and TCS could make this vision a reality.

We bounced ideas, threw suggestions and took notes. We’re now working towards kick-starting the first leg of the programme before Ramadan. We’re excited about this new collaboration and we can’t wait to involve more ladies in the programme!

Turtle Conservation Society

The Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia was established in October 2011. The aim of the society is to bring about the recovery of depleted wild populations of turtles, with particular reference to freshwater turtles, in Malaysia through partnerships with like-minded organizations, individuals and local communities as well as through its own programs.
