This is the sad story of a dog named Tulay. We found Tulay, in the depths of the jungle here in Phuket area, with enormous maggot-infested wounds on his body.

We believe that Tulay’s wounds are the result of a deliberate act of cruelty. We will never know exactly what happened. What we do know is that he was fearful and in pain, so much so that he fled into the undergrowth for shelter.

We were alerted to Tulay’s misery by a kind person who feeds Tulay and others like him and our animal rescue officers immediately went to investigate.

It’s only thanks to your support that we are able to extend our reach and save more and more animals in need.

Tulay is receiving antibiotics to fight bacterial infection and Manuka honey to naturally heal those ghastly wounds. It is likely that he may even need wound reconstruction surgery.

We hope that, with time and treatment, he will gradually grow back his fur as well as his confidence.
