Furrytailendings Are Our Favourite Kind. This One ..

FurryTailEndings are our favourite kind.

This one is especially wonderful so we had to share it with you especially of you are looking for some #MondayMotivation

Twins Emi and Yumi came to Soi Dog Foundation when they were only a few weeks old. It was likely they were left to die as one of them was inside a plastic bag on the beach and the other was just barely clinging on to life.

Yumi and Emi were somewhat shy but, we knew they were incredibly loyal and intelligent. When our staff, who fostered them as young pups, visited them, even if they haven’t seen them for months the siblings would still remember them, showering them with licks, bodies shaking with glee.

Yumi and Emi stayed at Soi Dog Foundation, nearly 4 1/2 years before our Partner Rescue Homeward Trails Animal Rescue picked these 2 siblings to join their adoption programme.

Meanwhile, Gretchen and her family in Virginia, USA lost their precious Pumpkin a couple of weeks ago and while it was so hard to overcome the grief of the dog they loved so much for over 11 years, they knew they had to open their home to another dog.

Instead of one dog to grace their home, they found two. They found Emi and Yumi.

“We lost our dog, Pumpkin just after New Years. She was 11 and had cancer. She was the best girl and we miss her every day! We knew we wanted to have dogs in our life and home again. Once we heard Yumi and Emi’s story we knew we should bring them home.

Emi (Mavis) in Pumpkin’s favorite chair and Yumi (Pops) with Pumpkin’s beloved ham steak chewy toy…

They are very affectionate with each other and with me. They are still getting used to my husband. He’s the kindest, funniest person I know, and I know they will figure it out soon. Folks tell us it’s not uncommon for dogs to be skittish around men. We’re patient!…”

We couldn’t be happier for this duo and that they were reunited and adopted together.

Thank you to our Partner Rescues who make these #FurryTailEnding stories possible:
