Following the Registrar of Societies’ ban on all events, activities, programmes, conferences, and gatherings until 30th June, we are suspending our programmes including the terrapin release initially scheduled on 21st March, Turtle Camps in schools and soap-making classes in local communities. Our River Terrapin Conservation Centre in Kg. Pasir Gajah will also be closed to visitors.

We remind our friends and followers to stay indoors whenever possible, wash your hands, practice social distancing, cough into your elbows, and do not panic.

Turtle Conservation Society

The Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia was established in October 2011. The aim of the society is to bring about the recovery of depleted wild populations of turtles, with particular reference to freshwater turtles, in Malaysia through partnerships with like-minded organizations, individuals and local communities as well as through its own programs.
