Foster Stories Billie. As Of 30 April, Close To 12..

FOSTER STORIES: Billie

As of 30 April, close to 120 SPCA animals went out to foster homes. Thank you to our incredible community for opening your hearts and homes to needy animals after adoptions ceased due to the circuit breaker! Our foster applications increased tenfold so we are not accepting new ones for now.

We’d also like to thank our clinic staff who are on standby to assist fosterers with pet care questions as we tide through this pandemic together. Gracie (featured), is one of many dedicated fosterers.

Gracie: “My work involved a lot of travel, and fostering during this circuit breaker was a great chance to learn how to be a responsible pet owner. Fostering requires setting aside time to get used to having a pet and exercises my maternal instincts!

Billie, our foster cat, is very affectionate, curious, and playful. It’s funny to see the things that animals can be up to and how they can also test your patience. This experience has taught me not only about second chances, but also the gift of love.”

Gracie is Billie’s current fosterer, but she will be officially adopting her after the circuit breaker!
