Five Fab Felines Found Their Furever Families. Ear..

Five fab felines found their furever families❣

Earlier this year, Soi Dog’s five fabulous felines left our shelter in Phuket to embark on a new journey towards their happily ever after. The eager-eyed kitties jetted off to Washington DC to one of our partner rescue, Homeward Trails Animal Rescue with the pawsome help from a flight volunteer. Luckily, they were able to fly out just in time before Phuket International Airport closed and travel restrictions were put in place due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The most amazing news came when we heard that all five have been adopted last month! Thanks to Homeward Trails Animal Rescue’s guidance and support, Dirk, Sugarmelon, Ladin, Kamdee, and Mandey can now begin their biggest adventure yet, their #furrytail lives.

These cats each have such unique personalities, and have special needs. Tripaw kitty Sugamelon, now renamed Folly, suffered from a broken hind leg when she was struck by a car in Thailand, but now she’s leaping into her future with her new family, and not looking back. Kamdee’s adopter says he loves getting to know Kamdee, despite being a cyclops kitty and FIV+, he is settling in very well. Ladin, a FIV+ kitty was adopted by his foster family while Dirk was fostered by a member of Homeward Trails before finding his forever family and they mentioned Dirk’s presence will be missed as he is such a special boy. Lastly, Mandey is loving his new home, his mom says “he’s so sweet and snuggly, I’m so glad I had the opportunity to adopt him! He didn’t eat very much the first couple of days but I moved his bowls and he seems much happier with the new spot (excuse me for picking incorrectly! 😹)” In light of #hugyourcatday, observed on June 4, 2020, on behalf of the soi cats, thank you to all who made this possible and warm hugs from the adopted furry felines.

We highly value our partner rescues organisations’ efforts to rehome defenceless cats rescued from the streets of Thailand. The attention and support they give to these vulnerable animals and their new adopters is invaluable, and the remarkable results of their #furrytailendings are truly amazing. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts, and we look forward to more adoptions once international flights resume.

There’s more than one way to adopt a soi dog or soi cat, so get in touch with one of our partner rescues in the USA and Canada today. For more information email: partnerrescue@soidog.org
