Last Week, A Member Of The Public, Natasha, Called..

Last week, a member of the public, Natasha, called our emergency hotline. Due to the heavy downpour, a weak and sickly cat sought shelter in a drain at Wattan View. Our rescue officer, Faeza, quickly attended to the scene and patiently coaxed the cat. She managed to lure her out after some time with some “sayang”. Faeza noticed that the cat’s eyes looked infected and brought her back to SPCA for medical treatment.

Sadly, the cat did not survive and passed on due to severe illness. Unfortunately, not all rescue cases are successful. We thank Natasha for calling us and for her kind words of encouragement. Working together with the community, our officers will continue to brave challenging conditions to help animals in need.

You can make a difference by being our eyes and ears on the ground! If you spot sick, injured, abused, lost or abandoned animals, do call our 24/7 hotline at 6287 5355 Ext. 9.
