When it rains, it pours. Some of our dogs are unwell and have to make frequent vet visits. Kakak Diamind has a wonky platlet count and has to go to the vet weekly, this is the message we received from our volunteer who handles our doggos taken to Gasing. Where are we to go for the money so suddenly when we cannot afford so many things? Please help. Since Gasing won’t take direct transfers, it has to go into our account first. Please help save Diamond’s life.

“Diamond’s Red blood cells dropped to 13. Previously was 19. She needs at urgent blood transfusion again. The steroid and the additional 2 medications that the vet gave is not improving her blood count. Leong will be taking Polo n Lucy to gGasing to donate blood. Gasing wants us to deposit in 1.5K for Diamond by 1pm for the admission and transfusion.”

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
