Did you ever wonder, why leatherback turtles don’t get stung by jellyfish? Our intern, Hasya, did a little research to uncover this secret:


Leatherback turtles have spine-like projections called papillae which line down their esophagus that help them pierce and break down their prey once ingested.

The Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia was established in October 2011.
