We Are Celebrating The 'Underdogs', The 'Forgotten..

We are celebrating the ‘underdogs’, the ‘forgotten’ and the misunderstood kitties of the cat world this month. The FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) positive cats. 🐈#fivawarenessmonth

FIV is a slow progressing virus, therefore it could potentially take years before a cat infected with the virus shows symptoms of the disease, which means that some FIV cats can live even as long as non FIV cats!

In other words 🧡FIV is NOT a death sentence🧡

The virus compromises their immune system, but it doesn’t mean that FIV cats can’t lead normal lives. They just need a bit more love and care as well as regular vet check ups to make sure everything is ok with them.

They are perfect as indoor pets and they will love you just as any other cat.

At Soi Dog Foundation, we care for many FIV cats, some of them are in good health and can even be adopted. Check them out on our website: https://www.soidog.org/adopt-a-cat

There are many other ways to help vulnerable cats like the FIV+ moggies at Soi Dog Foundation, where we believe like you, in giving these survivors a fighting chance in life. 😻

Donate towards the on going care of cats like those with FIV , who are very unlikely to find a home of their own: https://www.soidog.org/content/join-care-cats-club

Or even be a sponsor of special needs cat, by signing up to the Sponsorship Programme: https://www.soidog.org/sponsor-a-cat
