We have been having several biting incidents at the half-way home recently because of these four crooks and one old man. It is always just one nip but they nip and pull which results in the skin underneath detaching and creating pockets. If not treated properly these pockets can become severely infected inside. All are criminals except for Diamond who is a grandpa doggo going blind. So when the other dogs bump into him accidentally, he bites. We have created a private living space for Diamond with playpens to prevent other dogs from bumping into him. The culprits are – left to right – Mutley, Forrest, three-legged Teia, blood donor Petey S and Diamond. We were told that Mutley has started behaving himself.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
