Support The Proposed Amendment To The #cdcdogban - Call Your Congress Members Now!

Please to contact your House of Representatives and ask them to co-sponsor the Rice-Fitzpatrick-Schrader amendment to help get rescue animals to their new homes in the States. #revisetheban

The propsal is to advance a 3 million USD appropriations package to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) to streamline processes for dog imports into the USA. The ammendement has been proposed by three US congress members Kathleen Rice, D-N.Y., Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, R-Pa., and Congressman Kurt Schrader, D-Oregon .

A discussion regarding the ammendement will take place on Tuesday so please contact your representatives NOW.

Your support will progress a revision of the ban that came into effect from the 14th of July affecting the arrival of dogs from over 100 countries including Thailand in an attempt to control the spread of canine related Rabies in the USA.

Meanwhile, Soi Dog Foundation is also currently working on an action plan together with leading canine rescue organisation in the USA, legal experts and other conerned parties to petition the CDC to #revisetheban and introduce a more robust Rabies control protocol, similar to that in the European Union including the UK.

So please pick up the phone NOW and encourage your House of Representatives to support this very important proposal that could decide the fate of rescue dogs and transparent dog rescue organisations all across the world, such as Soi Dog Foundation.
