Do We Have To Pay For Adopting An Animal?. Adoptio..

Do we have to pay for adopting an animal?

Adoption fee helps to cover the medical care of the animal while he or she waits for a new home. The fee helps to provide care for the other animals in the shelter.

What Is Included In An Adoption Fee?

An adoption fee can end up saving your money! SSPCA covers initial veterinary costs to prepare the pet for a new home. Adoption fee of RM100* often include:

Spaying / neutering from RM150

Core vaccination RM50 x 2 = RM100

Rabies vaccination = RM60

Deworming (for dogs) RM15 x 2

TOTAL: RM340**

**Please note that it is an estimate, NOT a standard fee.

Free pet usually come with no medical care. You may initially save on an adoption fee, but the medical costs will ADD UP quickly (unless you’re a irresponsible pet owner!).
