Never underestimate a child when they’re actively observing and learning.

Five years ago, Jenna and her mother participated in our Turtle Discovery Trip. It was off-peak, there were no other families, so we spent 2 days together, talking, laughing and joking about all things turtles.

Back in school, Jenna made a poster of her trip to the east coast, where she told her teachers and friends about her trip. It wasn’t just eye-opening for a 4-year-old, it was magical.

And just recently, Jenna’s Mom shared some photos of Jenna painting turtles at home. It was such a pleasant surprise to learn that a short turtle trip years ago sparked an interest in a child, and this interest later turned into a passion for saving endangered turtles in Malaysia.

Jenna’s artworks are printed on 100% recycled papers. They measure 7 x 5 inches, and each set contains 4 pieces of postcards, an award-winning keychain and a “Be My Friend” button badge. Only RM20/set.

Turtle Conservation Society

The Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia was established in October 2011. The aim of the society is to bring about the recovery of depleted wild populations of turtles, with particular reference to freshwater turtles, in Malaysia through partnerships with like-minded organizations, individuals and local communities as well as through its own programs.
