Chilwell, Now Called Chilli, Came To Us In 2020 Wi..

Chilwell, now called Chilli, came to us in 2020 with a deep, infected wound on her face. What had happened to her is anyone’s guess.

Thanks to your support, Chilwell made a full recovery and received the best care until her special day arrived in August last year and she found her forever home in the UK. Here’s a lovely update from her mum:

“Chilli is doing fine. She’s becoming more demanding I feel for attention i.e., cuddles and snacks (she paws us for a treat pretty much each time we are eating now, no matter what we are eating!) She’s much better walking off our estate. It’s not busy with cars and people here, but she’s far more comfortable walking on wider country roads. She hops into the car, but not so willing to get in when we’ve finished the walk.

She’s now sleeping in a dog’s bed. She was sleeping on a flat one on the floor by our feet for months. I think it took 169 days to get her to use a proper bed. She loves soft dog toys. She piles the toys together and will leave her biscuits with them or eat her biscuits lying on top of the toys. She has an ability to rip them apart until she removes their squeak. She has a rubber pig who has been her archenemy, but she’s beginning to throw him around now, so getting braver.

Chilli’s been an amazing addition to the family. We all adore her and can’t imagine life here without her now. We’re so pleased you trusted us to take ownership of a soi dog❤”

Our thanks go to Chilwell’s family and to you, our supporters, for giving her story a #furrytailending 🏠💕

There are many more dogs at our shelter waiting for the chance that Chilwell had. Please visit our website to meet some of them: https://www.soidog.org/adopt-a-dog
