Spca Animal Cruelty And Welfare Report. With Cruel..

🚨SPCA ANIMAL CRUELTY AND WELFARE REPORT 🚨

With cruelty and welfare cases on the rise, will 2023 be a good year for our animals?

The SPCA’s Inspectorate plays a vital role in investigating cases of animal cruelty, welfare issues and abandonment. Although the SPCA does not have the authority to enforce laws, prosecute offenders or remove animals from their guardians, we play a critical role in the fight against animal cruelty by gathering credible witnesses and evidence, providing guidance on animal welfare issues and providing investigative support.

In 2022, our Inspectorate investigated 511 animal cruelty and welfare cases reported by concerned members of the public . This is a 44% increase from 2021 and the highest recorded figure in the last three years. Unfortunately, this spike has continued into 2023, with 229 cases reported and investigated by the SPCA in just the first three months alone.

Abandonment is rising, cats are still falling from heights and animals continue to suffer in dissatisfactory living conditions. 2023 is turning out to be a bad year for animals but if we work together, we can put an end to the suffering.

Take a stand against cruelty today. Be a voice for the voiceless.
