We Have Some Great News To Share With You All. But..

We have some great news to share with you all! 🎉

But before that, we’d like to announce a new blog post that introduces the species that we are working with, i.e. the Southern River Terrapins. In the article, we differentiate the northern and southern species; share about the threats that they face in their habitats; and highlight the terrapin conservation efforts by Jabatan PERHILITAN Semenanjung Malaysia and TCS. Moving on, we’d like to share that this year, we managed to collect and incubate more than 1,500 river terrapin eggs! Of these, more than 1,100 hatchlings successfully hatched and are currently being head-started.

Turtle Conservation Society

The Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia was established in October 2011. The aim of the society is to bring about the recovery of depleted wild populations of turtles, with particular reference to freshwater turtles, in Malaysia through partnerships with like-minded organizations, individuals and local communities as well as through its own programs.
