LET THE KIDS PLAN THEIR OUTINGS!

Expanding from our previous post HOW DO YOU SUPPORT A CHILD WHO SHOWS LOVE FOR ANIMALS? on 6 August, here is another family who has showered their child with support and encouragement in helping the animals she loves. Ankita, aged 12, strongly believes that reptiles, such as snakes and turtles, need to be shown care, even though they are not always considered to be cute.

Ankita suggested bringing her family and friends to the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre (AWRC), so that everyone close to her would learn about the work ACRES is doing for the animals. This outing was also part of her birthday celebration. What a meaningful and unique way of celebrating a birthday!

The outing would have not have happened without her familys support, and of course, Ankitas compassionate heart for the animals. Its fantastic for a child to carry out small initiatives with kind intentions. Were sure that shell grow up to be a valuable contributor to society!

Thank you to all those who came to the AWRC for Anikas special day, for showing compassion to the animals who need our help so much!

If you would like to organise a similar event at ACRES, drop us an email at info@acres.org.sg and well make sure that the celebration is a very meaningful one!
