COMPASS GROUP COMMITS TO CAGE-FREE EGGS GLOBALLY!

Compass group, world�s largest food service provider has announced a significant expansion to its existing cage free egg policy with a commitment to source 100% cage free eggs (both shell and liquid) globally by 2025. The group operates in over 50,000 locations across 50 countries. Nicki Crayfourd, Director of Group Health, Safety and Environment at Compass Group PLC, commented �Improving the welfare of farm animals is a key focus for our business and we’ve supported the sourcing of cage free eggs since 2009. This commitment marks the next step in our journey and we look forward to continuing to work with partners such as Compassion in World Farming, Humane Society International and The Humane League who provide invaluable support and guidance.�

In addition to cutting down consumption, you can help the hens by other ways too: Ask your local supermarket to stock cage-free eggs or to your favourite restaurants to serve them – Make the change happen in Singapore!
