Meet Peter — the “Naughty Boy” with a Heart of Gold, Still Hoping for a Home! 🐾

Hello again, everyone.

I want to give an update about Peter, our Desa Park City street dog. He’s still searching for his person, and maybe that’s you or someone you know.

Peter has come a long way from his days wandering alone, scared and confused. He’s safe for now, but sadly, his first trial foster didn’t work out. Why? Because Peter is… well, a bit of a handful! He’s got lots of energy, curiosity, and sometimes just too much excitement for his own good. He tried to break into the house, played a bit too rough with the neighbor’s dogs, and just couldn’t settle down. He’s what you’d call a naughty boy — but we know he can be so much more with the right person.

What Peter Needs:

Peter isn’t for everyone — he needs someone who understands dogs, who can set boundaries, offer patience, and is willing to give him the time and training he needs to become the amazing companion we know he can be. With the right person, he’ll learn fast and return all that energy with so much love.

• He’s gentle and affectionate with people he trusts — once you’re “his person,” he’s loyal and loving. He might be wary or aloof with strangers at first, so he’ll need some time and patience to build trust.

• He’s protective of his home and loved ones — Peter was even spotted bravely guarding his temporary home from a monitor lizard! If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will look out for you, he’s your guy.

• He gets along with some dogs, but he’ll need slow introductions and supervision at first.

• He has no sense of danger or street smarts, so a secure home and yard are a must.

• He’s been neutered, vaccinated, and checked by a vet.

If you have experience with high-energy or “naughty” dogs and can offer Peter the structure and love he’s never had, please reach out. He’s not perfect, but he’s got so much potential. Peter just needs someone to believe in him.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
