🌱 Restoring Nature, One Sapling at a Time 🌿

In the heart of the Lemanak oil palm plantation, we set out to plant saplings in a degraded riparian area, working hand-in-hand with the local community to restore the land.

But what truly left an impression was Aunty Perada Bauk, a local hero, who, with a determined smile, kept saying, “Put more, put more!” as our former High Conservation Value officer, Jackshaman, helped load saplings into her basket. Confident in her strength, she carried them all, five to seven saplings balanced on her back! 🌱🙌

Her strength and commitment were incredibly inspiring. It’s not every day you witness such passion for restoring the land. Aunty’s spirit reminds us that true conservation starts with the people who care most about the earth. 💪💚

This restoration project is a key part of our High Conservation Value efforts, focused on rejuvenating degraded areas and enhancing the land’s ecological health. Through collaboration, we’re not just restoring nature, we’re empowering local communities with sustainable practices that benefit both people and the environment. 🌍

Together with the community, we’re giving this land a second chance to thrive, one tree at a time. The restoration journey may be long, but moments like these inspire us to keep going, to give back to the earth and the people who care for it.
