ALI UPDATE — CORRECTION & AWARENESS 🚨

We have an important update about Ali 🤍

After further testing, we’ve learned that his initial diagnosis was not correct.

Ali is FeLV+ (Feline Leukemia Virus)—not FIV as first thought.

We know this can sound scary, so we want to take a moment to explain 💛

🐱 FIV vs FeLV — What’s the difference?

FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus):

• Affects the immune system

• Usually spreads through deep bite wounds

• Cats can live long, normal lives with good care

• Can sometimes live safely with other friendly cats

FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus):

• More serious, affects immune system + blood cells

• Can spread through close contact (saliva, grooming, shared bowls)

• May lead to anemia, infections, or other complications

• FeLV+ cats need to live with other FeLV cats or as the only cat

🤍 What this means for Ali

Ali will need:

✨ A loving indoor home

✨ Either as a single cat or with other FeLV+ cats

✨ Proper nutrition & regular vet care

✨ Someone who understands his condition—but sees beyond it

FeLV is not a death sentence.

Many FeLV+ cats can still live happy, meaningful lives filled with love 🐾

Ali has already been through so much…

He deserves a chance—not fear, not stigma 💔

🙏 We are still continuing his treatment and care, and we need your support
