Good Morning Kah Yein

I have recently found 5 dogs and 7 puppies being abandoned by the property developer. These dogs used to be the watchdogs for this developer when the condo nearby was under construction.

Now the building is completed and dogs had served their purpose. In return, the developer abondoned them all. Not only did not developer not bother to spayed the female dog hence the 7 puppies they were only being fed very little to no food at time.

I’d been feeding the dogs and puppies for the past few weeks. I have succesfully found a Korean student to adopt one puppy with a condition they proceed to the vet near my house and get all necessary jabs and food for the puppy. They did as suggested.

One puppy got injured yesterday due to the negligence of the developer while the workers were clearing scrap metals from the yard.

I send the injured puppy to the vet and did an xray. Her shoulder is broken. She stayed a nite at the vet and will be discharge today with bandages around. I did not chose an operation due to budget constrain.

Kah Yein, can you please advise me what to do ? I have contacted SPCA and their reply to me was, if I were to leave the dogs and pups with them 2 weeks after they will put them to sleep if there is no adoption!!! Their reason for putting them to sleep is because there are too many sickly dogs in SPCA hence the pups and dogs placed there will all be sick. I totally do not agree on the way SPCA shelter these strays.

I understand the first solution is to spayed the female dog which I intend to do so. But I do not have a house to keep them safe. I live in a condo and I already picked up two kittens which are strayed.

Kah Yein, please advise me what to do. I dont’ have the heart to see them being strays nor put to sleep.

I suggested that Sharol contact PAWS to ask if they could take the dogs and puppies in. That was done and Sharol will be sending the puppies to PAWS in about 2 weeks’ time unless she is able to find adopters for them.

Meanwhile, she has found an adopter for 3 of the adult dogs in Ipoh, but she needs help to transport the dogs from KL to Ipoh on this Saturday, 14th July. If you are able to assist, please contact Sharol directly at her email above. Thank you.

Hi Kah Yein

Not sure if you remember me. I wrote last week with regards to the 5 dogs and 6 puppies which were abandoned by the site contractor..

As agreed, PAWS will be able to take in the dogs and pups. Their condition was I need to notify them 3 days in advance so that they could arrange for the van to pick the animals up from Ampang.

I have not contacted PAWS since as I am still trying my very best to source them a new owner before surrendering to PAWS. Currently some puppies are being fostered by Gay in Ampang Jaya and some are with me. They are all vaccinated and dewormed.

I have informed PAWS today that I will be surrendering the animals latest by 21 July if I am unable to look for any new owners for them. I can drive the puppies to PAWS myself.

Not sure if I am doing it right by looking after the puppies till 21 July ? Your advise is highly appreciated.

By the way, as for the dogs..I have managed to find them a new owner in Ipoh/Perak. Is there any way you will be able to assist me in sourcing for transport to Ipoh this Saturday ?

My daughter (15 years old) and I will not be able to handle 3 dogs in my MPV while I am driving. I have tried posted in FB but there is no reply so far.

Sharol

The dogs which are going to Ipoh are two brown ones and a black one.
