FOSTERING THE SPIRIT OF FOSTERING, here at SPCA.
SPCA staff do go all out, beyond the call of duty, to help out with the fostering of very young animals.
Introduced to help us save lives, fostering is a way of providing individual attention and accommodation for animals too young to be kept in a shelter (i.e. under 2 months) or animals that need specialized care (requiring medical treatment and/or behavioural rehabilitation).
Lets get the ball rolling by sharing here how our Executive Director, Corinne Fong, has taken on the fostering of then-1-month-old Nudge, barely a year ago, for about 2 months to ready her for her eventual adoption, only to formally adopt her.
You can read about the foster tale of Nudge (who has just turned 1-year!), here on Corinnes blog: http://spcasingapore.wordpress.com/
Fostering an animal can be a wonderful bonding experience for you and your family. The rewards are intangible, as you would be actually saving a life and making a difference. By helping to foster animals until space becomes available in our shelter and/or the animals become older and better able to cope with kennel life, you are helping us save more lives.

If you’re at least 18 years, and are ready to be a foster parent, come join us on our Foster Care programme! You would be nurturing a life in its most formative years of development!
